Le Week-End — $0.3M

Director Roger Michell’s Le Weekend stars Jim Broadbent and Lindsay Duncan as Nick and Meg, a British couple celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary with a weekend getaway in Paris. As they travel around the city, they revisit the highs and lows of their relationship, fight about their faults, and continue to run out of restaurants without paying the bill. They meet up with an old colleague of Nick’s and attend a dinner party at his house, leading to some painful truths being spoken aloud. Jeff Goldblum… [more]

desolation-trailer-1.jpg

Bad news, Grudge Match, 47 Ronin, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Here’s your weekend box office:

1. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug$ 29.9 million. ‘Tis the season for checking up on Orlando Bloom to make sure he’s still doing alright.

2. Frozen$ 28.8 million, finally putting the snowman comic relief back in Christmas.

3. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues$ 20.2 million, by the beard of Santa.

4. American Hustle$ 19.6 million. Audiences just can’t resist the delightful Amy Adams.

5. The Wolf of Wall Street$ 18.5 million. Turns out the lavish indulgences of a greedy Wall Street thief was a bit too real of a Grinch tale.

2. Anchorman: The Legend Continues$ 26.8 million

3. Frozen$ 19.2 million

It may be a beautiful spring Sunday outside, but fresh air is the enemy and I’ll be goddamned if I’m about to let its invigorating aroma stop me from talking about Superman on the Internet. Also, there might be bees. Anyway, let’s jump right into this week’s edition of Weekend Nerdior where apparently it’s DC Read More …

Captain America Winter Soldier Concept Art

And now for the part of the week where I snuff out what tiny chance this site gives me of getting laid by rambling on about comics, video games and/or my deep concern about who’s wearing green booty shorts next to Batman. I probably should’ve named this column “Dust Penis,” but after months staring at Read More …
