“Me and my buddy we go in [the tattoo parlor] and he chooses one thing off the wall for me, then I choose one thing for him. You can't see it until after it's done and then we unveil them at the same time.”

Disappointing fans of the literary and big screen success “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” the planned sequel will not arrive in theaters until after 2013.

Screenwriter Steve Zaillian is still working on the script, halting further progress. No director has been attached to the project, but David Fincher, who directed the first film remains the first choice.

A source tells Entertainment Weekly that the movie is still moving forward, although there is no rush and no release date.

However, way back in November, Sony Pictures Entertainment Co-Chair Amy Pascal announced that both Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig were locked in for the sequel.

As promised last week by a preview for a preview, here’s the full-length trailer for Len Wiseman’s Total Recall remake.

This time Colin Farrell is in the lead role, playing a man whose dissatisfaction with his life leads him to harass people at bars, asking fellow drunks if they too feel the overwhelming malaise of existence, as if they need that. Screw you, Farrell. Everyone here is just trying to unwind after a long day of futurework, okay? Well, Farell’s ennui eventually pushes him to visit a place called Recall, where a Robert Patrick-esque John Cho offers to implant exciting spy memories that will spice up our hero’s bored life of being Kate Beckinsale’s shirtless husband. As you know if you’ve seen the original film, and as you’ll sort of pick up on in this trailer, the procedure leads to Farrell becoming a highly-trained agent capable of all kinds of ridiculous action set pieces–now with more Stormtroopers and slow-motion, mid-air gunfire! But as Farrell’s carefully-constructed life begins to unravel, and as he drives more flying cars around with Jessica Biel, events soon call into question whether or not these seemingly-implanted memories are so false after all. Looking to be settling into her new-found demanding schedule, Rooney Mara was spotted out in New York City on Thursday morning (December 15).

The “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” star headed out of her Big Apple hotel with the assistance of a bodyguard to tend to her day’s promotional duties.

Last night, Ms Mara appeared on “The Late Show’ and revealed to David Letterman how she landed the role of troubled computer hacker, Lisbeth Salander, in the film which hits theaters this weekend.

After two months and a half months of call-backs, Rooney said that one night they (the producers) called her up and asked her to go out and get really drunk.

She explained, “Everyone had a hard time picturing me as this person. And they wanted me to come looking a little strung out. And I never drink so I was vomiting all night and I was definitely strung out when I went in there.”
