A new poster for The Amazing Spider-Man is here, this one boldly claiming the film will provide “the untold story” of the superhero whose story was certainly never told in a Tobey Maguire film that grossed $ 821 million worldwide. Have a look.

See, this Spider-Man has taller hair, and he fights a reptile guy instead of a metal suit guy. Who ever told that story? Nobody ever told that story. That’s an untold story.

As noted Friday, Pixar’s new Toy Story short, titled Small Fry, involves the hidden tragedy of our forgotten Happy Meal ephemera. In this first clip from the film–set to debut before showings of The Muppets–we meet a couple of these lost toys, including a Jane Lynch-voiced mermaid and a transforming T-bone clearly based on The Best Toys McDonald’s Ever Produced: 1987′s Changeables. Those guys at Pixar always know just the way to our hearts, and in this case, that way is by misplaced nostalgia for toys meant to breed enduring fondness for terrible food.

This short had better end with masses 20-to-35-year-olds heading to eBay to re-buy all their old Happy Meal crap, because that’s sure what’s about to happen right now.

A new Toy Story short will premiere before the November 23 release of The Muppets, and USA Today has the first look at the franchise’s newest addition to the cast: a Happy Meal version of Buzz Lightyear. Writer/director Angus MacLane revealed that the short’s story deals with a support group for the ephemeral fast food toys, adding, “These toys’ existence is about being really popular before the meal and then being totally forgotten about. And sometimes they don’t even get played with.” So, yeah, despite this Toy Story only lasting a few minutes, you’re still probably going to cry. That’s just the way it is.

Speaking to Deadline about his long-in-development remake of Fantastic Voyage, producer James Cameron revealed that of the many ways his Shawn Levy-directed project will differ from the original, one of the ways will be that his Fantastic Voyage has, by his own decision, been “turned into a love story.” Unlike most instances of a team of people simultaneously entering a single being, this experience will begin with a gentle seduction, and the film will first introduce us to a scientist, his wife, and their sadly dwindling romance. When the wife becomes gravely ill, that’s when shit gets ridiculous and the scientist and his team shrink down to save her. The love story continues within the body, though, and “once he gets to the brain, things really heat up,” which presumably means Dr. Husband there discovers his wife’s horniness center still willing to activate at his shrunken touch. After all, the brain is the key to the heart! And the key to the brain? A Will Smith-piloted submarine shrunk down to a micrometer and administered intravenously.
