Drawing attention to their latest gadget in grand fashion, Samsung threw a pair of star-studded soirees to help launch the Galaxy Note 10.1 on Wednesday night (August 15).

On the European front, lovely ladies Irina Shayk and Kelly Brook prettied up One Mayfair in London for a party which drew out Kylie Minogue as the special guest performer.

Meanwhile, across the pond in the States was an equally fabulous fete taking place at the hip Jazz at Lincoln Center venue in New York City.

Among the famous faces roaming the grounds was an oh-so-hot Kate Upton and “ParaNorman” actress Anna Kendrick, who joined alongside “10,000 B.C.” babe Camilla Belle and E! TV personality Kelly Osbourne.

Becoming just the second WiMAX phone released in the States (and the first with a physical keyboard), this is a pretty critical release for Sprint at a time when its subscriber count is just starting to pick up after several quarters of decline — and making things even more interesting is the fact that Sprint’s first WiMAX handset — HTC’s EVO 4G — is simply one of the best phones we’ve ever reviewed. In other words, yeah, you could say that the Epic’s got a lot to live up to. Is it up to the task? Let’s find out.

Gathering together to help draw attention to the electronics company’s newest release, the stars were in party mode for the Samsung Galaxy S III Launch on Thursday night (June 21).

With the festivities taking place a private residence in Los Angeles, California, attendees included a stylish Ashlee Simpson, who joined alongside gal pal Odette Annable (who was accompanied by her actor husband Dave Annable).

The grounds also saw a pregnant Anna Faris showing off her growing baby bump in a bright green dress with Anna Kendrick, Joe Manganiello, Marisa Tomei and Robert Buckley also partaking in the Samsung soiree.

Rounding out the guest list were “Spring Breakers” babe Ashley Benson, “Glee” star Mark Salling, “That ’70s Show” actor Danny Masterson and English model Cat Deeley.

As for the new Samsung product, it’s been receiving quite the positive reviews thus far – as Joanna Stern of ABC News heaped praise on the device, saying, “The Galaxy S III is packed to the brim with cutting-edge mobile technology and new features, making it what I knew it would be — the Android phone to beat this year.”

But buyers beware, as a Dublin user has just claimed that the mobile phone exploded while in his car, posting a message reading, “I was driving along … when suddenly a white flame, sparks and a bang came out of the phone.” He added that the flames “burned through the plastic and melted my case to my phone. The phone kept working but without any signal.”
