Will Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Promise Part 1 be made into an animation series?

Question by ozgirl.: Will Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Promise Part 1 be made into an animation series?
I never read the Avatar: Last Airbender comics, but I really enjoyed watching the TV series and now that I have finished watching it again for the third time I really want some more of Team Avatar!! I know there is a sequel to the TV series based on Korra, the next avatar, but I am hoping they will make the new comic trilogy – The Promise, into a animation TV series because although I know Avatar: The Legend of Korra will be great, I want to see more of Team Avatar, and Aang and Katara etc!!

Has anyone heard anything about it possibly being made into a TV series? Or any other big news?

Thanks!

The Legend of Korra probably wont be a trilogy considering they only planned about 26 episodes

‘Dark Tower’ Series Probably at HBO, Movie Part They’ll Figure Out Later

dark-tower-glazer.jpg

While doing press duties to convince the world that Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, and tower robbery is a winning combination, a freshly gelled and blow-dried Brian Grazer this weekend claimed he and Ron Howard’s epic Dark Tower is still a go, and on the television side, it will be paid for and aired by HBO.

The Stephen King adaptation had originally been planned as an NBC-Universal project, with a string of Universal films being supported by a limited-run NBC series. It would have been heavily reference in your textbook’s chapter on synergy. Unfortunately, the suits at General Electric got pretty skittish about making a huge fantasy western once they heard how much all these shadowy spires would cost them, and they abandoned the project.

But according to Grazer, he and Howard have now managed to chop the budget down by a cool $ 45 million, allowing the deal with HBO and, they figure, making a movie deal with some a film studio all but inevitable. He also seems to think Javier Bardem won’t mind these delays, and will still be up for the lead role of Roland Deschain just as soon as some lucky studio will fund a vast, elaborate, still-very-expensive fantasy western. What is the hold up, guys?

Yet Another Lawsuit Involving ‘Hangover, Part II’

hangover-part-2.jpg

The Hangover, Part II has already been at the center of a lawsuit involving an injured stuntman, another lawsuit about Mike Tyson’s stupid tattoo, and a third suit over whether it’s OK to serve drinks and show monkey blowjobs in the same room, and now a fourth suit has arisen over the film’s content. Aspiring screenwriter Michael Alan Rubin has filed a complaint claiming, “The production of Hangover 2 is not a complete ‘literary’ or ‘artistic’ works of the Hangover Defendants as credited in Hangover 2,” which is to say he thinks the studio and writers stole the movie from a script he wrote called Mickey and Kirin, an autobiographical piece based on his own experiences marrying a woman in Japan and honeymooning in Thailand. Rubin is suing for copyright infringement, misappropriation of publicity rights, and, strangely, defamation–this last bit stemming from his worry “the filmmakers suggested the inference that he was under the influence of drugs when he ditched his girlfriend and proposed to a male-to-female transexual prostitute.” Essentially, if someone were to believe his idiotic story that The Hangover 2 was stole his experiences, they would thereby think that he had drugs when he was marrying a transexual prostitute, which would then make the film slanderous. This is the sort of logic that makes sense when you are a crazy person.

Rubin hasn’t found a lawyer to back him and is representing himself in this case, and he’s reportedly provided no evidence that anyone involved in The Hangover, Part II would have ever encountered his script, so regardless of the validity of the claims, don’t expect the suit to get too far. But do expect a second lawsuit claiming The Hangover stole his experiences, changed the setting to Vegas, and made everything funnier. Seems like the obvious Plan B.

Conduit 2 Walkthrough – China Part 1

Free Angry Birds App! mhlo.co Conduit 2 is a first-person shooter game developed by High Voltage Software and published by Sega for the Nintendo Wii game console. It is the direct sequel to The Conduit, and is one of the rare high-quality first-person shooters exclusively available for the Nintendo Wii console. The game supports Wii MotionPlus as well as the Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro for those that eschew the Wii’s patented motion controls. The game has been delayed repeatedly, and its debut has been pushed as far back as April 19th 2011 for the North American market. The singleplayer mode of Conduit 2 has many new features added to the game’s original formula. For example, players can knock over objects such as furniture, decorations, and other objects to use as cover from enemy fire, similar to such shooter games asF.EAR 2. The player can also target enemy weakpoints to weaken their defense or deliver more damage. The game contains a singleplayer campaign mode and traditional multiplayer online modes such as Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. In addition, the game will allow for a rich co-op experience, supporting both split-screen and online modes, up to four players participating in one session. Competitive multiplayer has been improved since the original title, including the addition of female avatar characters and increased security against hackers and griefers. There will also be more content overall, including 12 maps with 14 game modes. The

‘Hangover, Part II’ Causing More Legal Problems

hangover-part-2.jpg

Already, The Hangover, Part II has gotten into trouble with the MPAA for depicting simulated monkey fellatio and with a tattoo artist, for stealing Mike Tyson’s idiotic face tattoo. Now, the hapless film has found more trouble in Utah, where the film’s sexual content has hit a Salt Lake City theater with a $ 1,627 fine for “attire and conduct” violations. While it’s just dandy to show whatever smut you want on screens, the issue here came with Brewvies Cinema Pub’s policy of also serving alcohol while the monkey sucked off the water bottle, as local laws dictate that filmed lascivious acts and adult beverages may not be provided in unison, as that combination will inevitably lead to public masturbation, or so a judge must have decreed at some point. It seems like a pretty bygone law, but hey, this comes from a place that was still showing The Hangover, Part II in theaters, so maybe Utah just needs another few months or so to catch up to the rest of the country’s free, modern times, when simulated monkey beejes and alcohol can freely marry in a public setting. For their sake, I hope so.
