Speaking at Comic Con’s Iron Man panel–at least in some sense answering the question, “Is there any way to get Gwyneth Paltrow in an outfit more farcical than her $ 90 goop t-shirt?”–Jon Favreau and Marvel production president Kevin Feige let slip their apparently long-held interest in getting Paltrow’s Pepper Potts in an Iron Man suit.

In the comics, Potts eventually gets her own For Her edition of Tony Stark’s armor, and it seems the film Potts nearly has, too, with Feige reportedly saying (via), “Everyone at this table thinks it would be the coolest thing in the world to see Pepper get in the suit at some point.”

“We almost did it a few times; we talked about it a lot. I think we all share your enthusiasm for that, and we all want to see Gwyneth kick a little ass,” Favreau added, mistakenly thinking Comic Con attendees are just nerdier Chris Martins.

Given their word choice and the fact they were willing to talk about it at all, it doesn’t sound like Tony Stark’s unnervingly-hollow-voiced assistant will be suiting up for the third Iron Man, but then again, reports denied Ben Kingsley would playing Mandarin before Marvel turned around and confirmed it last weekend, so you never know. Maybe we’ll yet see Gwyneth Paltrow with a layer of metal covering her affectations. If not, well, then I guess we’ll just see her in some $ 200 jeans.

Landing herself yet another high-end gig, Gwyneth Paltrow has been tapped to front the latest fragrance offering from Hugo Boss.

Seeing no decrease in demand for her services as she approaches the big 4-0 this year, the “Avengers” actress will appear in TV, print, and online campaigns for Boss Nuit Pour Femme.

Of the selection, global marketing director for Hugo Boss Fragrances, Gerd Von Podewils, told WWD, “We are delighted to welcome Gwyneth Paltrow to the Hugo Boss family as the face of our new Boss Black female signature scent. She is the perfect complement to Boss Fragrances.”

Meanwhile, Miss Paltrow is equally as thrilled, as she said in a statement, “I was honored and very happy to be chosen as the face of Boss Nuit Pour Femme. To me, the Boss woman is driven, ambitious, and goes after what she wants, but she balances being strong and very feminine at the same time – characteristics that I strive towards in my own life.”

Boss Nuit Pour Femme has pre-launches slated for August while global release will occur the following month.

While she usually keeps her family life quite guarded, Gwyneth Paltrow offered a rare glimpse of herself tending to her motherly duties while out shopping with daughter Apple Martin in Los Angeles on Thursday (April 19).

The two lovely ladies swung over to Maxfield to pick up a few items, later emerging from the shop while strolling to their car hand-in-hand.

The sighting comes as Miss Paltrow has been immersing herself back in the spotlight ahead of the May 4th release of her new movie “The Avengers”.

In the star-studded film, the 39-year-old plays Pepper Potts, who’s the love interest of the Robert Downey Jr helmed character of Iron Man.

As a matter of fact, director Joss Whedon recently revealed that it was Downey Jr. who insisted that Paltrow be a part of “The Avengers” cast.

Whedon explained, “You need to separate the characters from their support systems in order to create the isolation you need for a team. But Pepper, this was really Robert’s thing. He pushed hard… He really thought Gwyneth would bring something great to the table, and we all thought so as well, but he was the one who convinced her to come and do it.”

Joss added, “He didn’t want to be sort of, crazy alone guy, he wanted to be crazy in-a-relationship guy.”

Others joining in on the privately held debut screening included Gwen Stefani, Zooey Deschanel, Rumer Willis, Amy Smart, Jordana Brewster, Ginnifer Goodwin and Pamela Anderson.

As for McCartney’s tune’s visual production, three videos accompany the song – with one featuring Natalie Portman, one starring Johnny Depp and the third bringing both of the big names together.
