Melissa Leo Apologizes for Oscar F-Bomb
Even Hollywood’s best can have trouble forming the right words during acceptance speeches, and Melissa Leo proved that to be correct last night at the 83rd annual Academy Awards.
The 50-year-old actress accidentally dropped the F-bomb during her speech after being announced as Best Supporting Actress for her role in “The Fighter.”
In case you missed it, Leo was referencing Oscar winner Kate WInslet in the speech, and said, “When I watched Kate two years ago, it looked so f—ing easy.”
Later in the night, a very sincere Melissa told reporters, “I really don’t mean to offend, and [the Oscars were] probably a very inappropriate place to use that particular word.”
