Natalie Portman as Jackie O.? Brit Marling as Momma Lincoln? Wes Bentley as Lincoln’s first teacher, who no doubt keeps bringing that fact up every time anyone mentioned the President? Sure!
According to Deadline, Portman is being courted by her Black Swan distributor Fox Searchlight to play the title role in the Noah Oppenheim-scripted Jackie. The film tells of the First Lady’s life just after JFK’s assassination, when she was all like, “Ugh, what, now do I have to move, too?” Darren Aronofsky was once attached to direct with his then-partner Rachel Weisz, but they’ve both since exited the project, and Portman’s involvement is now said to be dependent on the return of either Aronofsky or someone of his caliber.
Meanwhile, Terrence Malick is going to keep right on with ignoring Spielberg’s Lincoln and continue prepping a Lincoln movie of his own. The suddenly-prolific director is putting a cast together now, and has just signed on Brit Marling and Wes Bentley. Marling will reportedly play Lincoln’s mother, Nancy, who–SPOILER ALERT–died when young Abraham was just nine. As the film is said to chroncile “Abraham Lincoln’s youth and those who influenced him growing up,” Bentley will play the President’s first teacher, who no doubt influenced him greatly. Probably by suggesting, “You know what’ll keep you memorable? A real dumb beard.”

Talking about her decision to back Obama, Miss Portman said in a recent interview, “I think the thing that is most upsetting in the past four years is how partisan they’ve been in blocking Obama’s reforms. All of us should be putting our country first.”
The 31-year-old Israeli actress also noted that if Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan were to be elected, women’s health care and equal rights would take a big step backwards, adding , “We would go back to the days where being pregnant is a pre-existing condition.”
As for choosing this particular event while pitching in on the campaign efforts, Natalie explained, “Nevada is a battleground state and the women are really going to decide this election.”
She spent the weekend as a blushing bride, and now newlywed Natalie Portman is featured in a new ad campaign for Dior Nude cosmetics.
The “Garden State” actress strips down for the photo spread, snapped by Mario Sorrenti and sure to attract plenty of attention to the pricey foundation, lipsticks, and various other products.
In one shot, Natalie is posed lying with her chest against a chaise lounge chair, giving a ‘come hither’ look to prospective customers.
Portman has been a fan of Dior for years, though she definitely distanced herself from their former creative director John Galliano after he spouted off anti-Semitic comments in a video last year.
At that time, Natalie stated, “I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano’s comments. In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr Galliano in any way. I hope at the very least, these terrible comments remind us to reflect and act upon combating these still-existing prejudices that are the opposite of all that is beautiful.”
Last week, the new video for Paul McCartney‘s “My Valentine” was released, and everyone tripped over themselves to say how awesome Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman were for signing the lyrics. To the anguish of nerds the world over, Natalie Portman has given birth to Benjamin Millepied’s son, according to People. The “No Strings Attached” babe was spotted taking her dog, Whiz, out for a walk in New York City on Thursday (March 24).
Covering up her growing baby bump, Ms Portman opted to wear a warm winter coat and black leggings as she walked along the streets of the Big Apple all the while sending out a few text messages.
Meanwhile, Nat’s fiance Benjamin Millepied recently gave his lady some props for nailing the performances and technical scenes in the film, “Black Swan.”
He told the Los Angeles Times, “There are articles now talking about her dance double that are making it sound like [her body double] did a lot of the work, but really, she just did the footwork, and the fouettes, and one diagonal phrase in the studio. Honestly, 85 per cent of that movie is Natalie.”
