‘Martin Luther King Day’ Trailer: “In the Words of Martin Luther King, ‘I Just Gotta Go for It.’”

From last night’s 30 Rock cold open: the trailer for Martin Luther King Day, a thankfully non-existent ensemble romantic-comedy that stars Andy Samberg, Emma Stone, Hugh Grant, Nick Cannon, R2-D2, Mankind and more. So alarmingly accurate, septuagenarian director Garry Marshall will hopefully think he actually made this and move on to some other holiday film he can stuff Hector Elizondo into.

‘Hugo’ Trailer: Martin Scorsese Has Sacha Baron Cohen Comically Chase Kids

It’s a lesson Home Alone taught us so long ago: chase precocious, parentless children and prepare to face hilarious slapstick injury. Now, prepare yourself for a fantastical refresher course with Hugo, Martin Scorsese’s bizarre venture into DiCaprio-less 3-D adventure for all ages. Based on Brian Selzick’s Caldecott-winning The Invention of Hugo Cabret, the film stars Asa Butterfield as the titular orphan, ChloĆ« Moretz as Hugo’s one friend and–in what I assume is a strange sexual metaphor–the girl in possession of the key to his automaton, Ben Kingsley as her grandfather, Jude Law as Hugo’s father, and Sacha Baron Cohen as the mean ol’ station inspector who’s always chasing those rascal kids, and whose level of bumbling is near Rowan Atkinson levels. Watch out for that five-tiered wedding cake, Sacha!
In this age where the trailers give away the entire film, it’s nice that this film only hints at the full plot, and also withholds the inevitable shot of Sacha Baron Cohen crossing his eyes because he got hit in the nuts. That will happen, right?

Is this the greatest horse race ever called?
It has to be one of the most hilarious, anyway. In perhaps the most ironic one-two finish in horseracing history, “Mywifenosevrything” beat “Thewifedoesntknow” in a close finish at the 7th race at Monmouth on Sunday, making the race caller, Larry…

Kyla Ebbert & Martin S. Reed Discuss Southwest
Kyla Ebbert’s Los Angeles lawyer Martin S. Reed appeared on The Today Show with Matt Lauer, Friday September 7, 2007. When Martin S. Reed was asked by Matt Lauer if what Southwest Airlines had done was legal he replied, “If Paris Hilton had been on that plane they would have asked to take pictures with her and then shown her to her seat. According to Southwest there is no dress code so they can’t enforce one.” When asked by Matt Lauer if they planned to sue Southwest. Martin S. Reed strategically replied, “We are considering all the facts and circumstances.”
