If you paid attention during The Muppets, you may have noticed Dave Grohl make a brief appearance in the film. In the spirit of Muppets cameos, it was a fun but inconsequential guest spot, but to fellow peripheral Nirvana character Courtney Love, it was a slight, indicating she is clearly not getting her due attention from the puppet community. So now she’s saying the Muppets are rapists.

As shown in the clip below, the Muppets in question are, if nothing else, guilty of singing an awful, barbershop-style rendition of “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” In the [rape] scene, Jack Black accurately declares, “You’re ruining one of the greatest songs of all time,” but that shouted critique was not insanely hyperbolic enough for Love. So, like rape whistleblower Kim Novak before her, she’s decided to equate the re-use of a popular song to rape.

According to TMZ:

Courtney Love believes Kermit the Frog and his gang of Muppet friends “raped” the memory of her ex-husband Kurt Cobain — by bastardizing Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” in their 2011 movie … without her permission.

Courtney says she has the absolute power to approve or nix the use of Kurt’s music for commercial purposes, and she never gave the OK for the 2 companies to use the song for the 2011 Muppets movie.

What Courtney Love fails to mention in her rape account is that she has apparently sold half her Nirvana song rights to Primary Wave Music–a company that has exclusive rights to distribute the entire Nirvana catalog and cleared the use with surviving Nirvana members Grohl and Krist Novoselic before approval. So, hey, maybe the Muppets did not sexually assault anyone’s soul after all! They’re not rapists. Just communists.

With only a month left until her new show “The Client List” makes it s debut, Jennifer Love Hewitt has amped up her press efforts by taking over the cover of the April 2012 issue of Maxim.

The 33-year-old actress shows off her fabulous figure while clad in a range of lingerie for the magazine’s Stephan Wurth shot spread while dishing on topics such as her passion for pole dancing and her body part in which she’s most proud of.

“Pole dancing. It’s a great way to stay in touch with your sexuality. I also love to cook, so I can have a cake in the oven while I do a pole dance.”

On the part of her body she’s most proud of:
“It’s horrible to say, but I like my boobs. They’ve always served me well. They’re good.”

On the explanation of what ‘vagazzaling’ is:
“Vagazzaling is where you stick Swarovski crystals on the female area to add a little glitz and glamour. I actually named it that because it’s like BeDazzling for your hoo-ha.”

On her character in ‘The Client List’:
“I play an all-American Texas mom who is a former beauty pageant queen. She and her husband and two kids have fallen on very hard times, so she’s forced to become a ‘working mom,’ whose expertise is keeping her clients happy. We’ll just say it that way.”

Kicking off the week with a visit to the late night circuit, Taylor Swift was one of the guests on-hand at “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Monday (February 20).

The “Mean” singer prettied up the NBC Studios set in Burbank as she sat down with Leno to promote her upcoming movie “The Lorax,” which hits theaters on March 2nd.

Aside from plugging her new film, Miss Swift chatted about topics including what ‘mean’ really means and being stupid in love.

Of her tendency to be too trstful in others, the 22-year-old told, “I’m a Sagittarius and it says one of our major qualities is that we’re blindly optimistic. So when I’m in love I’m just stupid about it. And I trust people, constantly, and I’m always like, ‘I’m not gonna trust people anymore, I’m gonna be one of those dark, twisty girls who guys love because they’re all, like, guarded and stuff. And then I just trust people again… all the time!”
