Allison Williams Joins ‘Rosaline’, ‘Fantastic Four’ Rumor Mill

Allison Williams–Girls co-star and heir to Brian Williams’ hidden stockpile of evening news too disturbing for the world to hear–has secured her first feature film part in the title role of the Shawn Levy-produced Rosaline. Based on Rebecca Serle’s debut novel, the film is a modern spin on Romeo and Juliet, with the added twist that it’s told from the perspective of Romeo’s original love, who’s later left for Juliet.
But on to the geeky, wildly-speculative half of this story: Deadline also claims Williams is on the short list to join Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot. Assumedly she’d be filling Jessica Alba’s Invisible Woman role with similar levels of beauty and personality, but even that’s not yet being confirmed. Please hold off on all the Fantastic Four/Girls cross-over photoshops you might be thinking of. Because if this ends up being bullshit, it will look crazy that you possess the image of a flame-covered Zosia Mamet.
Benedict Cumberbatch Joins Guillermo Del Toro’s Haunted House

Crossing genre boundaries like his creators crossed human and alien DNA, Benedict Cumberbatch is preparing to follow-up his recent sci-fi, mystery, fantasy, and biopic work with a turn in the horror genre.
Variety reports the actor is now attached to star alongside Emma Stone and Charlie Hunnam in Crimson Peak, the haunted house film Guillermo del Toro plans to direct following a re-write he’s doing with Lucinda Coxon. Details on the plot and Cumberbatch’s role aren’t yet known, but we’ll hopefully be seeing this:

Out to support her hit ABC show “Nashville,” Hayden Panettiere attended the PaleyFest 2013 in Beverly Hills, CA on Saturday (March 9).
The 23 year-old actress kept her red carpet look casual in dark skinny jeans and a multi-color sweater as she worked the media line at the Saban Theatre with her fellow costars Connie Britton and Charles Esten.

According to the event’s website, named for William S. Paley, founder of both the Paley Center and CBS, the annual William S. Paley Television Festival has celebrated television’s rich and diverse programming and the creative process behind the medium since 1984.
Juliette Binoche Joins Quiet, Seductive Drama of ‘Godzilla’

Recognizing the French art-house film beneath the scales–seeing that each stomped building is just another soul trampled in time’s unstoppable path, hearing the whispered eroticism in each atomic breath–Academy Award-winner Juliette Binoche has reportedly entered talks to join Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla reboot.
If negotiations work out before she realizes how weird it is that she would be in a Godzilla movie, Binoche would join Aaron Johnson, Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Olsen in roles that are all being kept secret for now. Gareth Edwards is directing from a script currently getting another re-write from Frank Darabont.
While the film would be out-of-character for Binoche, it’s not the first time she’s been asked to fight a massive, destructive creatures: she was previously offered Laura Dern’s role of Dr. Ellie Sattler in Jurassic Park, which she turned down to instead make Krzysztof Kieślowski’s Three Colors: Blue, while back in 2010, she refused all-out battle at the provocations of the beast that is Gerard Depardieu.
Larry the Cable Guy Joins ‘Madea Christmas’ in Beautiful Christmas Miracle

Turning his upcoming Christmas film into a powerful, holy celebration of peace and love between races, cultures, and catchphrase-spouting caricatures, Tyler Perry has added Larry the Cable Guy to the cast of his [Tyler Perry's] Madea Christmas.
According to THR, Chad Michael Murray, Tika Sumpter, and Kathy Najimy have also joined the film, which will see Madea exasperated by a different sort of wacky white person than in Witness Protection when she travels to a rural town filled with rednecks. L. T. Cableguy will play a family patriarch described as “quirky,” what with his eccentrically bare arms and all. Chad Michael Murray will play a “town bully” known for domineering his wife and son; Sumpter will play the son’s teacher, who gets into conflicts with Murray. Najimy’s role is not yet known, nor is it known whether a “hallelujer” and “git-r-done” will ever ring out together, shouted Christmas bells chiming in the birth of Christ and quick death of subtlety. But what a Christmas that would be!
Beyoncé Joins Jay-Z on Stage for Brooklyn Concert
Giving hometown fans a special treat, Jay-Z added some extra starpower to his performance by bringing out Beyoncé at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday (October 6).
During the final show of the “99 Problems” rapper’s opening run, his equally famous wife came onstage to perform her song “Diva” before Jay joined her for “Crazy in Love” and “Young Forever.”
However, the 42-year-old hip-hop star may have been a little star struck himself, as he popped on stage late for his verse in “Crazy in Love.” He was heard exclaiming, “Oh sh– I should probably rap here” before hurrying on stage.
At the end of the set, Jay said of his wife (née Knowles) and mother of daughter Blue Ivy, “Of course I had to let BK touch the stage in BK– well BKC now.”

Alexander Skarsgard Joins In On Coachella Week 2 Action
Joining in on the fun-filled outdoor festivities, Alexander Skarsgard was spotted enjoying the entertainment during the second weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California on Friday (April 20).
Surrounded by a group of friends, the “True Blood” star sipped on a drink and walked around the festival grounds wearing a simple grey tee-shirt and jeans with dark sunglasses – even taking a moment to pose for pictures with some fortunate fans.
On the relationship front, Skarsgard has been rumored to be dating 36-year-old actress Charlize Theron, as US Weekly reports the duo were spotted on a second date earlier this month at West Hollywood’s Soho House.
For one of the dates, Charlize and Alexander reportedly got pretty close on the patio of a Hollywood gay bar, as an insider told the National Enquirer, “It was clear they were a couple. After about 45 minutes, they left with their arms around each other.”
However, it seems the possible couple is trying to keep their dates private, as sources reveal, “They’ve both been through some bad break-ups and want to keep the romance to themselves for the time being, they figured no one would notice them at a gay bar.”

De Niro Joins Michael Douglas in Being Horny Old Guy in Las Vegas

Robert De Niro and Michael Douglas are pooling their comedic talents, and–despite public hunger for the “what if?” scenario–it is not for a Fockers/The In-Laws crossover event.
The two have reportedly signed on for Last Vegas, with Douglas confirming his involvement yesterday and De Niro joining today, now that he knows there will be someone his age to talk to.
Written by Dan Fogelman (Cars; Bolt; Crazy, Stupid, Love.), the long-developing comedy has frequently been mentioned in the same breath as The Hangover and Grumpy Old Men, because it’s about old guys fighting over women, and also they’re in Las Vegas. A couple years ago, Jack Nicholson was in talks to play one of the four leads, but according to Douglas, now the other two parts are meant for Dustin Hoffman and Christopher Walken.
That would be great–as we could then assume De Niro’s life from Deer Hunter, to Fockers, to this to be a single tragedy–but the casting reports caution that Douglas may have his facts wrong. Though you’d think Hoffman would have some free time now that HBO shut down their amateur slaughterhouse, apparently scheduling problems are likely to keep him out of the film. Walken too is an uncertainty for the same reason, but talks are still ongoing to try to work it out. CBS Films really wants everyone to know how hard they tried to avoid going straight to Morgan Freeman and Al Pacino with this shit.
