Harry Potter Fans, Stop Reading! Fifty Shades Of Grey Author EL James Is Making More Money Than J.K. Rowling!
Well this is certainly an interesting plot twist IN REAL LIFE.

Here’s the trailer for Good People, yet another early-’10s film absolutely no one is going to remember James Franco being in. Like the similarly-forgettable Homefront, this is a thriller that sees Franco cast alongside an actress who you weren’t sure was still making films–but this time it’s Kate Hudson instead of Winona Ryder. They play an American couple living in London deep in debt and renting out their basement. When the renter dies, he ends up leaving behind £220,000; while that at first seems like a blessing, soon criminal Omar Sy comes looking for his cash, and so starts a whole ordeal that maybe you’ll catch on TV at some point.
That story and more in today’s gossip roundup!
James Franco announced on The View that he was asked to do his parody of “Bound 2″ with Seth Rogen at the WEDDING OF THE CENTURY:
“Two weeks ago, we got a call from Kanye. Seth and I were on the phone. We thought he was just going to let us have it. But he loved it. And I'm pretty sure I can say it now because I'm pretty sure it's not going to happen — he wanted us to perform it live the night before his wedding at Versailles. I think it would be awesome for about 10 seconds, but then there would be Seth with his shirt off in front all the Kardashians!”
Cuba Gooding Jr.'s wife filed for a separation from the actor.

James Marsden and Rupert Friend are the latest men accused of stealing parts from the wreckage of Paul Walker’s tragedy. According to THR, Marsden has started talks to take over Walker’s role in The Best of Me, a new bit of schmaltz being adapted from the Nicolas Sparks library. He’ll star opposite Michelle Monaghan, the two playing high school sweethearts who reunite years later in their hometown, where they will, history tell us, share a sensuous embrace, pausing momentarily to savor the passion before bringing their lips together.
Meanwhile, TheWrap reports that Rupert Friend–known best as Homeland‘s Peter Quinn and as the UK market’s name for My Buddy dolls–is replacing Walker on Agent 47, the latest attempt to turn the Hitman video game into a film. Walker was meant to himself be replacing Timothy Olyphant, who played the shorn killer in the largely-reviled 2007 adaptation. Commercials director Aleksander Bach is making his feature debut on the film.

On the off chance humans should one day cease watching reruns of King of Queens after the news but before primetime, Kevin James has arranged a contingency syndication plan. Like Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence before him, James is returning to a sitcom in the hopes of making at least a hundred episodes of something, thus giving him the minimum number to start making broadcast syndication money on. Also like Grammer and Lawrence, he’s doing it through Lionsgate subsidiary Debmar-Mercury’s 10/90 model, meaning he skips a pilot and goes straight to a ten-episode order; if those gently amuse audiences enough to hit a ratings minimum, it triggers a 90-episode commitment, and soon enough we have 100 episodes of Kevin or whatever cycling through our local Fox affiliate’s 6:30 slot. According to Deadline, there is not yet a concept for the series, but maybe he would work a particularly-pedestrian, uniformed job and have an remarkably attractive wife and yes it will definitely be that.
The oft-asked question of “what now, James Franco?” today has a pretty benign-for-Franco answer: just a movie about the late actor Sal Mineo. The Franco-directed Sal has actually been done for a couple years but, to promote its October 22 on-demand release, just recently finally got this trailer. The film focuses on the tail end of Mineo’s life, when his acclaim and teen idol status from Rebel Without a Cause and Exodus had faded after his coming out, leaving the actor struggling to make a comeback. Instead, he got murdered. SPOILER. Even less of a real spoiler: yes, James Franco also co-stars in this.
