Capping off an exciting weekend with a little sporting action, Rihanna was spotted courtside at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday night (January 8).

The Barbadian beauty and a few gal pals sipped on brews while cheering on the hometown team, who claimed a 90-82 victory over the visiting Memphis Grizzlies thanks to Kobe Bryant’s game high 26 points.

The Lakers night out comes after RiRi was gifted with quite the present from her record label, Roc Nation, as she’s now the proud owner of a black Jeep Wrangler.

Tweeting a photo of the new ride, the 23-year-old added a message reading, “Foot out dat b**ch, ride dat shit like a skateboard!!! Thank u to my G’z at RocNation baby!”

She also shot out a tweet to RocNation founder Jay-Z and wife Beyonce’s newborn baby Blue Ivy, as she wrote, “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih”

It’s no secret that things between Kris Humphries and the Kardashian family are strained, but now there are reports that the famous showbiz family is taking aim at Kim’s ex-husband with tabloid rumors.

According to FOX 411, inside sources have claimed that the Kardashians have “carefully disseminated” false stories about Humphries in an attempt to discredit him.

Author Cooper Lawrence told FOX, “Those pretty faces could be the face of evil if you are on the wrong side of them. They have said they will do anything to preserve their image, including blocking Kris from making money, so I’m not surprised they would start rumors about him. They have an empire to protect and it’s pretty clear that nothing will get in their way.”

Dorothy Cascerceri of InTouch Weekly added, “The Kardashians are a brand powerhouse, and the name ‘Kardashian’ is the driving force behind the brand. So you better bet these ladies will be do anything to prevent their name from being tarnished, and if that means making sure Kris Humphries is history by dragging him through the mud, then that is exactly what they will do. The Kardashian name and image is everything to them, and they are not going to let an ex-husband destroy that. The Kardashian family seems determined to come out of this mess on top.”

So far, Humphries has been accused of being everything from abusive to lazy, and there are even rumors that he’s gay.

A rep for the Kardashians vehemently denies any wrongdoing by the family and calls the allegations “ridiculous and not true.”

Surprise: there might be a Booster Gold television series! And it might be on Syfy. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the cable channel has ordered a one-hour pilot based around the DC comic character, an arrogant fame-seeker from the 25th century who brought back advanced technology and future knowledge that allows him try be a superhero. The C-list hero and former Blue Beetle comrade probably isn’t a known name for a lot of comic non-nerds, but he recently figured pretty hugely into DC’s big “52″ event storyline, and last April he appeared in live-action in an episode of Smallville. And if this pilot gets picked up to series, soon you’ll know him well enough as “the flying man in that show between the Ghost Hunters marathon and Mega Shark vs. Huge Python?”

Green Lantern co-writer Greg Berlanti is executive producing and Fringe‘s Andrew Kreisberg will provide the script for the pilot, which will hopefully not just be Early Edition with a guy in a racquetball visor. Please don’t make it that, guys.
