In a classic case of case of depressing, substance-dependent life imitating art, currently at the top of Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office’s Most Wanted List (via) is one Walter White, an Alabama man wanted for violating his parole after a 2008 conviction on the manufacturing of methamphetamine. As Breaking Bad fans will recognize, this is more than just another instance of pitiable cyclical criminality because, hey, Walter White is the name of Bryan Cranston’s character on AMC’s award-winning program! And he is also a 50-something white guy whose profession is meth cook! And it’s just these kinds of happy coinkidinks that makes the whole rising meth epidemic so worth it in the end.
Anyone with information as to Actual Walter White’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office at 205-752-0616, and not to say “look for the brand new Chrysler 300″ or “Why you after Mr. White, bitch?” because they’ve already heard all that shit.

Back in 1995, long before we knew Steve Jobs’ premature death would lead to Ashton Kutcher’s best shot at an Oscar, Robert X. Cringely sat down with the Apple co-founder for an hour-long interview for the PBS documentary Triumph of the Nerds: The Rise of Accidental Empires. The tape was thought lost for years, but Cringely recently came across a VHS copy that was cleaned up and released in very limited capacity at Landmark cinemas last year. Because you probably missed that, Magnolia has now bought the rights to the video and has plans to re-release it, unedited (yesss, we’ll know if Jobs goes off to the bathroom or anything) next Friday, with on-demand and DVD release to follow later in the summer. It’s one final chance to see the entrepreneurial genius talk for a long time before disappointingly not revealing whether or not you should wait on buying a new iPhone. Trailer below.
Because letting Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie’s Island Adventure close the franchise would be far too big a coup to allow Randy Quaid, Horrible Bosses writers Jonathan Goldstein and Sam from Freaks and Geeks are in talks to direct their own script for New Line’s reboot/sequel to National Lampoon’s Vacation series.
As you may recall, back in 2009, the studio announced plans for their belated Vacation relaunch, explaining that the new film would see Rusty Griswold, finally an adult after rotating among several juvenile bodies to prolong his youth, upholding the traditions of his Chevy Chase by taking his own family on a cross-country National Lampoon’s vacation. A passing of the glistening tennis racket, as it were.
Original Rusty portrayer Anthony Michael Hall is not currently expected to reprise his role, but I will continue to subtly push for that through photo choice until an official announcement is made. It’s about time we had a Griswold patriarch who can stare into your soul like only he and a caricature of a street magician can. Now we just need Leslie Mann for her usual part as The Wife, Kate Upton for the new Christie Brinkley (for obvious reasons), and, Katy Perry, will you do us the honor of somehow making Holiday Road even more vapid?
It’s been a year this month since she divorced Tony Parker, and this Thanksgiving Eva Longoria was grateful that she’s been able to find love again.
In a new interview with Spanish Vanity Fair, the “Desperate Housewives” star revealed, “Love did not work with that person. But it can work with another. The only thing I will say is I was very lucky to find Edu.”
“There’s a reason I fell in love and got married. I believed in it,” she went on. “Supposedly I should be angry, resentful and disillusioned about relationships. But I’m not.”
Now, Longoria is happily cozied up with Eduardo Cruz – younger brother to Penelope – and the two are coming up on one year of dating this winter.
“Whoo-eey! That’s good wiener.”
(I don’t really have anything to add this. I just like chronicling Miley Cyrus’s journey to become the new Britney Spears. It amuses me.)
