Question by Mr. Alright Men: Question about resident evil 5 and resident evil degeneration movie?
I want to know if the plot from the game and the movie can somehow be connected, something tells me the movie was just to introduce the existence of “TRICELL Inc”
Can both plots be connected??
Does anybody know if they will release another movie, or that’s it, no more??
Thanks for your answers, feel free to write as much as you can.

I only watched the movie once (let a friend borrow it the day after I watched it and I haven’t gotten it back yet) but I don’t remember there being anything in the movie that can really be connected to 5. It didn’t involve Chris or anyone else from 5 at all. The movie was basically to show what Leon and Claire have been up to. I believe it was said to take place 7 years after Raccoon, which would be 1 year after Resident Evil 4.
I don’t remember them necessarily mentioning when 5 takes place. I assume it’s present day, which (if assuming it’s in ’09) would be 11 years after the initial outbreak that Chris and Jill dealt with.
In terms of in-game story and a timeline, you can read the file in Resident Evil 5, the History of Resident Evil (I think that’s what it’s called), but the movie isn’t mentioned at all.
I thought I’d read somewhere that they planned on doing other CGI movies, but I can’t remember where I read it. It may have been retracted at this point.

With Mad Men coming back in less than a month, returning viewers to the glamorous era of being casually drunk a lot, AMC has debuted a stylish new poster for the series. As you can see, it takes on a distinctly-dated look, which it turns out series creator Matthew Weiner got by finding an illustrator who really used to do things like this–75-year-old veteran artist Brian Sanders. As you can also see, Don Draper seems to be passing by himself, perhaps as symbolism for how the character continually tries to walk away from his past. Or because in the two-hour premiere, Pete builds a robot Don to win a science fair, only to see his creation escape and start a competing ad firm, sending Cooper on a one-man stealth mission to short circuit AutomaDon before he steals all their accounts–and women! Decide with the full poster below.

It is scheduled for release on October 2, 2012, for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows with an unconfirmed release date. Chronologically, the game starts in December 2012, in the fictional South-Slavic state of Edonia. Edonian Liberation Army mercenary Jake Muller, the son of late bio-terrorist Albert Wesker, flees from the authorities during a bioterrorist attack. During Jake’s adventure, he partners up with Division of Security Operations (DSO) agent and Raccoon City survivor Sherry Birkin. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) Captain Chris Redfield and his team, including Piers Nivans fight against BOWs and J’avo. However, they are attacked by Ada Wong, an employee of Neo-Umbrella, who kills most of the BSAA members using a device that injects them with the newly developed C-Virus, turning them into monsters except Chris and Piers. Christina Ricci has agreed to follow-up roles in Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star that stewardess show with a part in The Smurfs 2, as that doesn’t seem like such a bad career move at this point. According to the THR report, Ricci will be lending her voice to Vexi, a newly-invented character described as “an evil version of Smurfette,” hinting that the next Smurfs adventure could be going for a darkly psychological tone, in which Smurfette’s gender isolation finally causes her to manifest–either figuratively or literally–a second self that angrily lashes out against the lustful patriarchy that surrounds her. Or the Smurfs go to Europe this time, and there’s a girl Smurf there with black hair instead of blonde.
The just-released official announcement on the film’s production start adds that Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s JB Smoove will similarly play a “new Smurf-like naughty character” named Hackus, who should definitely be retroactively added to the first, New York-set film just so that this can happen with a Smurf:
