With rumors continuing to swirl regarding the status of Girls Aloud, Cheryl Cole finally cleared the air in the July 2013 issue of InStyle UK.

While rocking designer duds from Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Louis Vuitton for the David Vasiljevic-shot spread, the “Love Machine” hitmaker dished about her beloved British pop group and reaching the next milestone in her life.

On parting ways from Girls Aloud:
“We’ve definitely split. I know Nadine always said that she never thought we should say out loud the words ‘we’ve split,’ but at the same time we don’t want to mislead the fans.”

On reuniting with the band in a few years:
“I hope to God I’m not turning up to Girls Aloud jumping around doing all the routines when I’m 45!”

On her “X Factor” days:
“The last ‘X Factor’ series I did was too hard for me. I wasn’t right in my mind enough to give it my everything and be focused. And I wasn’t strong enough mentally. I’ve seen Simon [Cowell] since. Like, we’re friends again. But, I don’t talk about flagging to him. He’d have a meltdown.”

On saying goodbye to her 20′s:
“When I look at the 21-year-old me, I do not want to be that person. I was young and naive. I’m a hello of a lot wiser, a hell of a lot stronger, I’m just happier with me now. It’s weird but I’m not scared of it.”

British pop star Cheryl Cole has signed a deal with publisher HarperCollins to write a revealing life story.

The 29-year-old singer plans to tell her readers everything from details on her marriage and split from ex-husband Ashley Cole, her rise to fame through ITV talent show ‘Popstars: The Rivals’, as well as details about her brief run as a judge for “The X-Factor.”

In an interview with The Mirror, a representative for HarperCollins said, “For the first time Cheryl will tell her story in full in her own words.”

Publisher Carole Tonkinson added, “Cheryl Cole is the nation’s sweetheart. We are absolutely thrilled to be publishing her story. Cheryl’s an amazing woman with a capacity to inspire everyone. She emerges from every challenge stronger and with more grace and good humour and beauty – inner and outer.”

Miss Cole previously mentioned that she was interested in writing an autobiography, especially since many others have written books about her. She added, “I see these girls that say, ‘This is literally like a bible for me – I read it and I hang off every word it says’, and I’ve had nothing to do with it. I don’t have the heart to say ‘this book is almost completely made up’.”

With only two days left until her highly buzzed about album sees in its release, Cheryl Cole offered up a preview show in London, England on Saturday night (June 16).

The 28-year-old pop star worked the stage at G-A-Y while treating clubgoers to a rendition of songs from ‘A Million Lights’ including the discs first single, “Call My Name”.

Rocking a skimpy white ensemble with glittering gold boots, Miss Cole was given quite the warm welcome while at one point being presented with a cake by DJ and promoter Jeremy Joseph.

As for her choice in venue for the pre-album release concert, G-A-Y happens to be the venue in which Cheryl and her Girls Aloud bandmates played their very first show back in 2002 after winning the music reality show “Popstars: The Rivals”.

Brightening up the UK party scene, the lovely Cheryl Cole kicked off her weekend by hitting the clubs in London on Friday night (June 1).

Clad in an eye-popping pink ensemble, the 28-year-old English pop star was helped past clamoring cameramen as she eased her way into the popular Mahiki nightclub.

The outing comes as it’s just being rumored that Miss Cole will be pairing up with Gary Barlow for a duet at Monday’s (June 4) Diamond Jubilee concert – as the pair are said to be readying a cover of Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now”.

With the event being held as a celebration of the Queen’s 60-year reign, a source told the Daily Mirror of the possible teamup between Cheryl and Gary, “There are already huge names appearing on the bill but Cheryl is the cherry on top. She is one of the biggest stars in Britain and will ensure young people tune into the concert.”

“She doesn’t do many live appearances but when Gary asked her she couldn’t turn him or the Queen down,” the insider added. “She is promising a spectacular performance and I am sure the Princes will all be happy she is on the bill.”

She’s maintained a low profile ever since her “The X Factor” U.S. debacle, but Cheryl Cole is making a comeback which kicks off by taking over the cover of the May 2012 issue of Marie Claire UK magazine.

Set to hit newsstands on April 5th, the 28-year-old English pop star looked smashing in Dior and Fendi duds for the Tesh shot spread while opening up about her biggest regrets, her serious shoe addiction and her hopes for the future.

On how she sees the next chapter of her life panning out:
“Who. The hell. Knows. In life, in general, you just don’t know. That’s the fun of it.”

On her shoe addiction:
“It’s definitely got worse over the years, my shoe thing. Just worse and worse and worse. I should really seek a little bit of therapy. Me doing my own shoe range is quite cathartic.”

On her life being much more normal than portrayed by the tabloids:
“I’m from such a normal family and background. I’m grateful for that; otherwise it could send you crazy… People have this crazy idea of my life.”

On reactions that her life provokes amazing her:
“I mean, sometimes, when people say things like, ‘Is the fact she’s wearing a pair of jeans sending out a signal?’, that still freaks me out. People psychoanalysing every move you make is weird.”

On if she has any regrets:
“In life? No. Life’s too short to have regrets. Mistakes are life. I don’t live like that. I don’t have that mentality. I think that things are sent to you so you learn and grow. If you regret them, you would never be the person that you are.”
