Best: Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry (her personality is repulsive, but this is about looks) Charlize Theron.

Worst: Belinda Carlisle (she was a little hottie back in the 80s), Matt Damon, Prince William.
Lindsey Lohan is an absolute trainwreck as a human being, but girl is still pretty damn hot when she wants to be.

Since people generally know that celebrities are paid to endorse products, celebrity endorsements signal to consumers that:
A) the product is appealing.
B) the celebrity loves the product.
C) only rich people can afford the product.
D) all of the above.

Isn’t there a “none of the above”. Since everyone knows the celebrities are getting paid, I don’t think that any of the answers apply.

When most people think “celebrity” they think old school celebs like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.  However, just like professional sports have their training ground for new stars, the world of professional celebrity is constantly hatching new careers.   And the minor league for celebrities seems to be Disney.  If you keep your eye on the Disney Channel, you may just be witnessing the emergence of the next hot star.

Of all the hottest upcoming celebrities, perhaps the most well known is Miley Cyrus.   In the past year, Miley has had a number of photo scandals that have raised her profile.  She’s basically established herself as the heir to the Brit/Paris/Linds generation.  Check it out: Miley Cyrus photos.

After Miley there is a major drop off in terms of wide-spread visibility.   Probably the most famous upcoming female star is Selena Gomez.   Gomez is the star of Wizards of Waverly on the  on the Disney Channel and has an upcoming album which should really help to put her on the map.
