Cinema’s last John le Carré adaptation, Tinker Tailor Gary Oldman, ended up being an amazing-looking, well-crafted thriller that didn’t get nearly the broader recognition it deserved. Anton Corbijn’s The American didn’t have quite the careful construction of that film, but likewise showed an admirable stylishness often lacking in the spy genre. I mention these things because they give good reason to have some interest in Corbijn’s latest, A Most Wanted Man, which will see him now apply his touch for style to the plotting of a le Carré–and with a solid cast too. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rachel McAdams, Willem Dafoe, and Robin Wright star in the film, which takes place in present-day Germany, and sees Hoffman playing a spy on the trail of an ex-prisoner whose agenda isn’t clear. And as you can see from this first look at the film, it will also see Hoffman looking sad and weary, which is undoubtedly the most classic, beloved PSH experience. U.S. distribution isn’t yet secured, but will probably be worked out soon now that everyone has been promised a dejected Philip Seymour Hoffman. Come on, who can resist that adorably beaten face?

I’m running into this same exact problem and am running around the internet like a madman looking for a solution…PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I have had a similar situation in the past and they fixed it within a couple of hours. I am really hoping that this is the case this time…or they just fix it immediately to keep people like me, whom holds severe grudges, appeased

“Unable to sign in to netflix.”
I’ve got the password and email right because I can log into on the computer.

I would say that you should report that problem to Netflix service…

I have a great internet connection. i signed up for netflix and all that but for some reason when i try to access the netflix on my ps3 it does not work, it just says “unable to connect to netflix” even though im signed into psn. please someone help me…
ITS NOT MY CONNECTION PERIOD.

So much escalating excitement over the slow realization, “oh, they made another G.I. Joe… with Bruce Willis?” and now it won’t see a payoff for another ten months. Paramount has delayed G.I. Joe: Retaliation until March 29, 2013 so that they have time to make it more 3D, and thus make a bunch more money off it.

As a studio executive explained to Deadline, “We’re going to do a conscientious 3D job because we’ve seen how it can better box office internationally.” Lest anyone worry that adding post-production 3D as an afterthought is somehow a poor decision, the executive added, “Jim Cameron did all of Titanic‘s 3D in post – and look how well that movie turned out,” which is a fair point. What is G.I. Joe: Retaliation if not Titanic set against the historical drama of The Rock’s pecs?

Hi – I am having a problem with Watch it Now – it gets stuck on “Determining Video Quality” 3 bars over and over. I have exhausted NetFlix tech support trying to resolve it, and they now suggest calling HP. I have IE 7.0, XP Home, Media Player 11, Verizon Cable Modem. The machine is not on a network, no Firewall, Netflix is a trusted site, tried a new Windows profile, checked the connection speed – under 44 in each of 8 hops before timing out.
What I get do get is a Java error that it can’t identify any bandwidth. Any thoughts??? thanks!
JPStanley, yes, that is exactly the same JAVA error that I get, and we can also use our Netflix account to access Watch It Now on a computer at my husband’s work, that is running Vista.
What did Netflix customer support tell you to do? The computer on which I get the error is the only one in the house, it’s not networked, I do have a VPN to access my work, but I stopped it to try NetFlix.
Hi JP, thanks again for the info. When I type the Watch it now address into my address bar as y0ou suggested, I just get the same “determining your video quality” bars, and the same Java error. I don’t think I have a “filtering proxy server”, and if I did, unfortunately I wouldn’t know how to “bypassed the proxy server”.
We have a Verizon Cable modem.

Just figured this one out. First off, details on the error message (to help others find this):

Examining the page source, I saw the movie page references an external Javascript program to test bandwidth ( http://image.netflix.com/us/script/bandwidth_e.js ). I typed that URL into the address bar so I could look at the source–but what I saw was an error message from my filtering proxy server (Dan’s Guardian) saying that image.netflix.com has been restricted. I bypassed the proxy server and now it works.

I suggest putting that URL into your address bar and seeing what happens–my guess is it’s being blocked somehow, and that’s preventing the bandwidth test from working.

Your best bet is too look through magazines on where she has come out and discussed her thoughts with the interviewer there more one on one and more specific questions. She normally keeps a low profile and only comes out when she wants to say something. I know she has spoken highly of her friend with the dark hair that use to play on friends. They are good friends in real life and i have seen photo’s of her and her friend helping her out taking her out getting her out and doing tings. She has been a good true friend from what I can see. I think Jennifer is quit simple in the sense of values I mean she’s not out there banging her drums she’s more secluded. She doesn’t have much of a voice she sort of lays in the back ground you know more dosile. Makes her money does her work and chooses to be more private than some actors who are out there saving the world or offering assistance and thats okay maybe its not her thing.

I guess her strengths you could take on how she has handled the seperation with brad pitt and herself she pretty much keeps mum and only comes out to stand up for herself or shoots down tabloids or when she feels she needs to stand up for herself. but other than that she again keeps a low profile unless its for business or a movie. I think she’s a down to earth kind of girl. wants to find love and be loved like anyone else.

I would try a couple things. For one, uninstall IE7 so that you have IE6 again. After that try and connect to the “Watch it now” service. If you still have problems go into IE6 and click Tools>Internet Options> Advance Tab> Restore Defaults. Try again to go to the Netflix site. If that doesn’t work, uninstall Java and install the latest version. Oh make sure you reboot as well.
