Bringing her gorgeousness to the pages of another magazine, Rosie Huntington Whiteley is featured in the December 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

The English model/actress is profiled in a column called “Spring Forward,” in which she showed off the season’s tribal beat thanks to a stylish spread shot by Greg Kadel.

On her not-so-beautiful youth:
“I was a bit of an Ugly Betty when I was 15…. in trainers, with braids, a ton of makeup, plucked eyebrows. I had braces.”

On first trying on the famous Victoria’s Secret Angel wings:
“It’s still such a huge thing for a model. People kind of laugh about it and think it’s irrelevant, but I don’t know a girl in the world who would put those wings on and not feel, just for a split second, very special.”

On transitioning from the modeling world to being an actress:
“It’s interesting coming from modeling, where women rule the industry, into one where there are so few great female parts and the competition is so much higher.”

Steven Soderbergh’s long talked-about retirement plans may or may not be happening, but if he does decide to stop making films, at least he can go out knowing he’s worked with pretty much every working actor Hollywood has. The Ocean’s series and the recent, surprisingly-large cast of Contagion covered a lot of ground on that front, and now the director’s newest, Haywire, adds to that credits with Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas, Channing Tatum, Michael Angarano, and Bill Paxton. None of them are the stars of this film, though. The star of this film is Gina Carano, a mixed martial arts fighter referred to as “The Face of Women’s MMA,” due to her being the MMA fighter you’d feel most comfortable masturbating to. She plays the classic action archetype of a highly-trained special op out for revenge against those who double-crossed her, and she seriously makes Angelina Jolie look like a jerk for even trying to do this kind of thing.
