Jessica Alba in Net-A-Porter May 2013: I Don’t Balance Well

In the midst of her busy career and family schedule, Jessica Alba garnered herself some added exposure by covering Net-A-Porter’s May 2013 issue.

The “Sin City” beauty rocked designer duds from Acne and Carolina Bucci for the sultry David Bellemere photo shoot and chatted about losing her baby weight and her new book.

On her post-baby weight loss:
“I wore a double corset day and night for three months. It was sweaty, but worth it. It was brutal; it’s not for everyone.”

On writing “The Honest Life”:
“[Writing the book] was daunting. But I wanted this information to be easy to understand. There are so many different sources that have such strong opinions. I wanted to have no judgement: here’s the information, take from it what you will.”

On keeping up with the family and The Honest Company:
“I don’t balance well. I just try to do the best I can.”

On conquering early failures in her business career:
“I had lots of doors shut in my face, which forced me to get behind the idea in a genuine way. I would cry, tell Cash it wasn’t possible; I was crazy. And he would say, ‘Well approach it different. What can’t people wrap their heads around.’”

Enjoying some alone time as a couple, Jessica Alba and her hubby Cash Warren hit the beach on St. Barts on Saturday (April 6).

Lovely in a navy blue bikini, the “Sin City” beauty floated on a raft alongside her hunky man in the refreshing blue waters.

Yesterday, mother-of-two was accompanied along the shores by Nicole Richie and other friends, as the group frolicked in the sand.

Clearly thrilled to be getting away from it all for a few days, the bubbly brunette tweeted, “Lunch #lifelove&happiness.”

Jessica Alba Returns from Paris with Honor

Heading home after a mommy-daughter trip to the City of Lights, Jessica Alba and Honor touched down at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday (March 6).

The “Sin City” star looked lovely in a black coat, light scarf, and skinny jeans, while her equally stylin’ 4-year-old wore a white blouse, plaid skirt, and black tights.

Earlier, the 31-year-old actress shared photos of her front row seat at the Valentino show on Tuesday.

Posting a video of the runway models, as well as one of her favorite looks from the show, Jessica commented, “The @Valentino show was exquisite #pfw.”

Jessica Alba Glams Up “Escape from Planet Earth” Premiere

Stepping out to promote her latest work, Jessica Alba arrived at the premiere of “Escape from Planet Earth” on Saturday (February 2) in Los Angeles.

Looking elegant in a black-and-red frock by Louis Vuitton, the brunette posed for the waiting photographers before heading inside the Mann Chinese 6 for the film.

The animated adventure comedy follows astronaut Scorch Supernova as he is caught in a trap when he responds to a call for help from a dangerous alien planet.

Hitting theaters on Valentine’s Day, the flick is also voiced by Brendan Fraser, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Sofia Vergara, among others.

Jessica Alba Drops in on the Doctor

Wisely taking care of her own health, Jessica Alba headed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills on Monday (November 26).

The “Sin City” star wore a black dress, long black vest, black stockings, and gray boots as she headed inside.

Recently, the 31-year-old actress has been taking advantage of the busy holiday shopping season to promote supporting small businesses.

Last week she tweeted, “I’m going to #shopsmall in support of Small Business Saturday this weekend. RT and share where you’re going to @ShopSmall #adv.” Of course the savvy entrepreneur also took the opportunity to plug her own brand of natural and eco-friendly family products, The Honest Company.

Jessica Alba: “Bye Bye Brown Hair”

Prepping her hair for a dramatic change, Jessica Alba left her hair salon in West Hollywood, CA just hours before heading to a bar on Thursday (August 23).

Showing off her lighter locks, the “Sin City” beauty left the salon with wet hair, which she dried, before strutting into The Gas Lite bar, wearing eclectic blue pants and a floral blazer.

During her appointment, Jessica posted photos on Instagram and explained through a tweet that the color change is for her latest on-screen role, “Bye Bye Brown Hair”, saying, “r u on viddy yet? I’m documenting my brown to Sin City blonde!”

Later in the evening, Jessica took to Twitter again to share several pictures of her “Honest” employees and interns explaining, “Hanging w my @honest team at our fav after work spot.”

Jessica Alba on Cold Drink Duty in L.A.

Carefully balancing a tray of cold drinks, Jessica Alba exited an Los Angeles eatery today (August 13).

The “Sin City” actress wore a white tank top, belt, and long flowy brown skirt with heeled sandals as she made her way to her vehicle.

When she’s not on the set, the 31-year-old actress focuses on daughters Honor (3) and Haven (1).

She talked to Entertainment Weekly earlier this month about Honor’s princess phase, saying, “She loves anything with a princess or a mermaid or a fairy. She has no discretion. We could just go on and on with that. And the princess books we have are all about princesses also helping people who are in need, who don’t have the things we have. I try to give her a spin on it so it’s not just about a prince coming in and sweeping you off your feet and that’s the best day of your life.”

The brunette beauty is making sure her little one’s princess dreams don’t go to her head. “A princess’ job is to help with the children who don’t have clothes. Or to help clean up the planet. That’s something I talk to her about. Real princesses give back to the earth and they’re kind to animals and I try to tell her that’s what being a princess is.”

Making for quite the grand night in China, a handful of Hollywood’s top names joined together to attend the Montblanc International Gala to celebrate the official opening of its new and biggest concept store in the world at the Montblanc Sanlitun in Beijing on Friday (June 1).

Lovely actresses Jessica Alba and Naomi Watts were among those adding their star power to the Asian concept store soiree as they joined Montblanc International CEO Lutz Bethge at the JW Marriott Hotel held function.

Also on the elite guest list was “Rum Diaries” darling Amber Heard, who mingled with actor Clemens Schick and Director of Montblanc Cultural Foundation Ingrid Roosen-Trinks while “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” actor Nicolas Cage schmoozed his way around the posh venue clad in a spiffy black suit.

During the course of the launch party, Montblanc reportedly presented the entire ‘Collection Princesse Grace de Monaco’ which included “outstanding timepieces, writing instruments and sparkling Haute Joaillerie.”

In career news, Jessica is gearing up to publish her new book “The Honest Life,” a how-to handbook to ‘create a natural, authentic, and non-toxic life for the family.”

Ms. Alba explained, “When I became a mom, I wanted to learn everything I could about living healthfully and happily, and shielding my family from unwanted chemicals. And I want to help other parents learn to do it, easily and inexpensively.”
