As Arnold Schwarzenegger would say, “[Captain America] continuously used him as a human shield, and then [he] threw him down.” And that’s only a a taste of the raw, plastic gruesomeness in this jaw-dropping stop-motion Captain America. It may be made of interlocked plastic bits and clay, but it’s also pretty Real.

It retrospect, Chris Evans must feel like a bit of a dandy for not shooting any Nazis to the point that they’re just a pile of anti-semitic mush. Maybe in the sequel.

One source went as far as revealing Us Weekly that the 38-year-old German model is “pissed off” at her ex over his “on-air soul-searching” during post-breakup appearances on a full slate of programs including “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Piers Morgan” and “Access Hollywood”.

FORCES OF NATURE – DVD MoviePlane crashes, pickpockets, hurricanes–heaven and hell is moving to prevent our able hero Ben (Ben Affleck) from marrying his sweetie (Maura Tierney) in Savannah. At every turn he runs into someone else despairing about the woes of married life. And of course, temptation proves overwhelming in the face of traveling companion Sarah (Sandra Bullock), the wild woman whom he can’t seem–or doesn’t want–to lose.

After a wayward bird flies into the engine of his airplane, Ben is forced to find another way to his wedding. He finds himself stuck with Sarah, whom he carried from the plane after she was whacked in the noggin by his laptop. The heat between them is unmistakable, and the drama in the film comes from the “will he or won’t he,” both in terms of sleeping with Sarah and meeting up with his bride. Forces of Nature is a fun and sentimental road-trip film, but Ben is such a strait-laced noodge, you can’t help but want him to fall flat on his face just a little. Bullock is the life of this film, although her free-spirited ways get a bit tired (responsibility is not all bad). The highlight of this movie, though, is definitely the cinematography. The beautiful rain shots and the colors of the scenes lend to the unsettling mood. While the jokes are not rip-roaring, Forces is to be reckoned with for those times when a lighthearted film is what you need. –Jenny Brown

Swinging through South America as part of her “We Own the Night” world tour, Selena Gomez had quite the pleasant stop in Rio de Janeiro this weekend.

The 19-year-old singer/actress arrived in town on Friday (February 3) while stepping out for a press call the following morning, during which she was doted with a Gold Award memento from Universal Music Brazil.

Later that night, Miss Gomez took the stage at HSBC Arena to treat the sold-out crowd to a fabulous concert comprised of a full lineup of her biggest hits.

Voicing her fondness for her Brazilian fans prior to delving into “Who Says,” Selena told the audience, “Brazil, you have wanted me to come so much and I’m so, so happy that I finally came. Thank you. You have been so amazing and I hope you know how amazing and beautiful and perfect I think you are. And, I promise, I’ll come back. I love you guys so much!”

From here, Gomez is scheduled to put on a show at Via Funchal in Sao Paulo on Sunday (February 5) before closing out her global gigs with two concerts in Argentina and one final stop in Montevideo, Uruguay on February 11th.
